Pie Crust


  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 ½ cups shortening
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup water


  • COMBINE all ingredients together and MIX well.
    ROLL out to 1/8 of an inch between 2 sheets of wax paper. PEEL top side off and place upside down in pie tin.
    CUT around the edge and form pie crust. You can add thin rolls of dough to around the edge as needed.
    PINCH around the edge of the pie or use a fork to press the edge to tin.
    POKE the bottom of the crust with a fork and BAKE at 350 degrees for 12 mins.
    REMOVE pie crust out and add any filling that needs to be baked into the crust. Our favorites are pecan, pumpkin and cherry.
