I’m so glad you’re here! My guess is that you are an unappreciated stepmom or stepdad, or are very close to or related to a stepfamily, and you are interested in some guidance to navigating all that comes with blended families. Even if you’ve read some of the great books out there or had some family counseling in the past, this is a great resource to search for issues that you may be dealing with and find some ideas or solutions to help you get through it.

I’m not here to tell you that you can fix all the problems or that at some point everything gets easier. How I wish that were true! Instead, I’m here to share some things I’ve learned along the way, what to do when it gets difficult, help you feel appreciated, remind you that you aren’t crazy, and hopefully have a little fun with it too!

The reason I started this blog is that when I meet other stepparents and they find out I have a lot of step-parenting experience, the first thing they say is “we need to talk!” After being on this roller-coaster for over a decade, I just want to help others get through it and share experiences and things I’ve learned along the way.

I will also be sharing experiences and outcomes that I’ve learned from others as well. I encourage you to share your experiences too! We are all here to assist each other!
