EVERY PIE STARTS WITH A CRUST

Pre-made pie crusts will do in a pinch, but if you want the best pie, you need the best crust. Try my Easy Pie Crust recipe for a great start to your Pumpkin Pie. It’s best to have a pie crust that is buttery and flaky than dry and crumbly.

PUMPKIN PIE FILLING INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • ¾ heaping tsp cloves
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 8-oz cans of pumpkin
  • 1 can evaporated milk

HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT PUMPKIN PIE

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Mix all pie filling ingredients together in a medium sized bowl
  3. Add filling to baked pie crust
  4. Bake pie for 50 minutes, or until inserted toothpick comes out clean

Makes 2 small pies or 1 large pie
